YourWay

YourWay – ACCESSIBLE AND SAFE SPACE!

The YourWay system is a modern program created in 2017, which is the response of the Chance for the Blind Foundation to the requirements of the Accessibility Plus program. It allows, among other things, people with special needs to move much more easily in the complex space of the city, as well as in public facilities, as well as to find places that have been adapted for people with disabilities. The YourWay system is also a database and search engine of available places for people with special needs.

NAVIGATION – HOW DOES YourWay work?

To use the system, you need a mobile phone equipped with the YourWay application, which can be downloaded free of charge from the GooglePlay store (Android) or AppStore (iOS). At the moment when a person with a running application is near the YourWay transmitter, it will signal its presence through the application. Depending on the version, the phone will receive a text message or the transmitter will speak by itself. These can be messages with substantive information ("you are standing in front of the painting Battle of Grunwald, it is Matejko's painting") or navigation information ("you are standing in front of the building, you are in the main hall, there is an elevator on the right"). It is enough to install a dozen or so such transmitters in the building to make it convenient to everyone.

DATABASE OF AVAILABLE OBJECTS

The YourWay application is not only navigation, it is also a constantly developed database of facilities adapted for people with special needs. Just enter the city you are interested in, and YourWay will display a list of facilities that are adapted, as well as information on what adaptations we can count on. The objects in the YourWay database can be proposed by their owners or managers, as well as by the system users themselves.

WHERE CAN YOURWAY TRANSMITTERS BE INSTALLED?

The installation is recommended in all public facilities: universities, schools, airports, railway stations, museums or shopping malls, as well as in urban space: on buildings, at public transport stops and in other important places. The YourWay system is useful not only for people with special needs, but also for able-bodied people who are looking for information, because the transmitter can be the so-called Bulletin board. With such use, the device, in addition to navigation information, it can transmit any important information such as: opening hours, telephone numbers or any any message.
